Polycarbonate sheets for controlling glare in lighting Exolon® SX SHARP are made of transparent polycarbonate with an optical microstructure on one side and a glossy surface on the other.
Excellent Thermal and Mechanical Resistance
EXOLON® SX SHARP solid polycarbonate sheets withstand working temperatures from -100°C to +120°C and, compared to acrylic products, boast excellent flammability performance.
Compared to other prismatic products, they boast an impact resistance far superior to the physical properties of glass and other thermoplastics.
Excellent Optical Properties
Exolon® SX Sharp sheets achieve high light transmission and light scattering and ensure homogeneous light intensity distribution (i.e. low intensity peaks).
Broad Applicability
The most common applications of Sharp Exolon® SX sheets are:
- LED fixtures for functional glare control lighting, luminaires, especially in office lighting
- LED retrofits of fluorescent lamps
- Controlled forwarding light from any kind of light source
SX Sharp polycarbonate sheets do not have UV protection, so they guarantee a long service life and are perfect for interior lighting solutions and for use in LED systems.
