CAST PMMA
The term cast refers to all plexiglass that is produced by casting the monomer between two sheets of glass. This production process makes the cast methacrylate sheet stress-free and with mechanical properties in all directions. Cast Pmma is a material that is preferred to extruded in terms of processing, so much so that it is considered by most processors as the "plexiglass par excellence", a product that is easy to bend, cut, drill, engrave, mill, thermoform, glue and machine. However, casting may result in very slight variations in thickness, making it less suitable for interlocking processing, where extruded Pmma is preferred.
