Compressed Air Blown Fiber Resin
Compressed air blown fiber resin manufactured by FARBWERKE HERKULA SA/AG, which is transparent, UV-curable and can be used on lines up to 1000 m/min.
UV and UV-LED matrix resins complement and complement the FibreCoat ink line to meet the ever-increasing demand in the fiber optic coding industry.
The 831-816 resin is specially designed for fiber that is installed by using compressed air.
UV Resin for Tight Buffer
FARBWERKE HERKULA SA/AG's 831-816 UV Tight Buffer resin can be used as an outer coating. In this case, 831-816 resin in combination with 830/801 as an inner coating provides excellent fiber strippability, thus going to facilitate installation of the finished cable.
For tight buffer applications, colored versions are available.
Compact Fiber Unit
A multi-fiber coating and curing system is required to create a Compact Fibre Unit.
With this type of system, multiple fibers can be placed close to each other in a circular structure and coated with our UV or UV-LED matrix material.
A single CFU can hold up to 12 fibers. The line speed depends on the number of fibers.
The space-saving CFU structure allows optimal use of space and cable weight.
FARBWERKE HERKULA SA/AG's 831-816 resin is used in compact fiber units for outer jacket. In combination with an outer jacket of 830-801, this resin can improve fiber strippability.
Curing
Curing of FARBWERKE HERKULA SA/AG resin 831-816 is done with high-pressure mercury vapor lamps or fusion lamps with nitrogen purge.
Chemical, Mechanical Properties and Usage
In addition, FARBWERKE HERKULA SA/AG's FibreCoat 831-816 resin provides excellent balanced mechanical properties, excellent chemical resistance, and is distinguished by its high stiffness and good elongation.
This product contains no VOCs and is suitable for use on lines from 100 to 1000 m/min.
The application works as an outer coating.
