Glass Fibre Material for External Insulation

Glass fibre material for external insulation manufactured by ISOCOS.

CosTherm® 4000 A is used as an external insulation surface in heating systems and machinery and, in particular, in the plastics and rubber industry it is used to insulate heated presses, tools and moulds.

Excellent Mechanical and Chemical Resistance

cosTherm® 4000 A has a high insulating property, which is conferred by its solid surface structure, the ribs on the surface and the combination of high quality raw materials. The resin from which it is made is, in fact, reinforced with glass fibre.

Resistance to chemicals, fluids and oil is among the many characteristics of cosTherm® insulation boards.

High Temperature Insulation

ISOCOS offers thermal protection plates that precisely match the respective process requirements in terms of temperature resistance and low thermal conductivity.

cosTherm® 4000 A is designed to work at a permanent temperature of 200 °C with peaks of 250 °C.

Process Optimisation

cosTherm® insulation boards from ISOCOS play a key role in the profitability and energy consumption of systems.

The quality of the insulation means low heat loss, short heating times and a consistently high level of quality throughout the entire production cycle.

cosTherm® insulation boards are specifically designed for each application and requirement to ensure an efficient heating process and minimise the need for adjustment.

The insulation provided by the ISOCOS boards also reduces heat transmission to the outside, making the working environment safer and more comfortable.

Broad Applicability

cosTherm® sheets from ISOCOS are ideal for use in a variety of application areas:

Rubber industry

Plastics production and processing

Wood-based materials industry

Machine and tool construction

Moulds and presses

Extrusion

Injection moulding

Die-casting

Mechanical Constructions
