Resin for External or Single Fibre Coating, manufactured by FARBWERKE HERKULA SA\/AG, transparent, UV-curable, high flexural modulus and usable on lines up to 1000 m\/min.<\/p>\n

UV and UV-LED matrix resins complement the FibreCoat ink line to meet the ever-increasing demand in the fibre optic coding sector.<\/p>\n

UV Resin for Tight Buffer<\/h2>\n

The 831-814 UV Tight Buffer resin from FARBWERKE HERKULA SA\/AG can be used as an outer jacket.<\/p>\n

In this case, 831-814 resin in combination with 830\/801 as an inner coating ensures excellent fibre strippability, thus facilitating installation of the finished cable.<\/p>\n

For tight buffer applications, coloured versions are available.<\/p>\n

Compact Fiber Unit<\/h2>\n

To create a Compact Fibre Unit, a multi-fibre coating and curing system is required.<\/p>\n

With this type of system, several fibres can be placed close together in a circular structure and coated with our UV or UV-LED matrix material.<\/p>\n

A single CFU can contain up to 12 fibres. The line speed depends on the number of fibres.<\/p>\n

The space-saving CFU structure allows optimal use of space and cable weight.<\/p>\n

FARBWERKE HERKULA SA\/AG’s 831-814 resin is used in compact fibre units for the outer jacket. In combination with an outer jacket of 830-801, this resin is able to improve fibre strippability.<\/p>\n

Furthermore, the 831-814 resin is specially designed for compact fibre units with a high fibre count.<\/p>\n

Curing Resins\/Curing<\/h2>\n

The curing of FARBWERKE HERKULA SA\/AG 831-814 resin takes place with high-pressure mercury vapour lamps or fusion lamps with nitrogen purge.<\/p>\n

Chemical, Mechanical Properties and Usage<\/h2>\n

FARBWERKE HERKULA SA\/AG’s FibreCoat 831-814 resin guarantees excellent balanced mechanical properties, excellent chemical resistance and is characterised by high stiffness and good elongation.<\/p>\n

This product contains no VOCs and is suitable for use on lines from 100 to 1000 m\/min.<\/p>\n

The application works both as an outer coating and as a single coating.<\/p>\n
