With this type of marking, a metal wheel prints the desired lettering\/number\/text on a rubber wheel. This rubber wheel transfers the final print onto the cable surface.<\/p>\n
The main advantage is that irregular surfaces can be clearly printed with the rubber wheel.<\/p>\n
Offset printing is also known as indirect gravure or pad printing.<\/p>\n
The 17220 series is available in all international colour shades, e.g. according to RAL scale, IEC 304 and also metallic shades.<\/p>\n
On request, the laboratory can develop a range of tailor-made inks, e.g. for new substrates, new colour shades or different line speeds.<\/p>\n

The inks of the Marcablo 17220 series from FARBWERKE HERKULA SA\/AG can be used on most types of plastic insulated wire e.g. PVC, PE, XLPE, Monosil, PA, Tefzel, , PP*, EVA, EPDM, PU etc.<\/p>\n
For optimum printing results, marking must be carried out on a substrate with a temperature of around 100 \u00b0C, e.g. after the extruder.<\/p>\n
With PE substrates, surface oxidation by corona pretreatment is necessary to achieve good adhesion.<\/p>\n
We recommend pre-cooling the plastic after extrusion by means of ambient air or water jet (residual water must be blown off).<\/p>\n
The 17220 series is also suitable for line speeds of up to 500 m\/min.<\/p>\n

Our product shows resistance to bleeding and no influence on the electrical properties of the cable.<\/p>\n
The pigments are free of lead and other heavy metals.<\/p>\n
The inks of this FARBWERKE HERKULA SA\/AG series for gravure printing have a shelf-life of 2 years, except for some special colours.<\/p>\n
In addition, the inks in the 17220 series are ready-to-use, as they already contain the required amount of thinner.<\/p>\n
Thinner 17288 is used to adjust the viscosity in the machine.<\/p>\n
