FARBWERKE HERKULA - INKS AND MATERIALS FOR THE CABLE AND OPTICAL FIBER INDUSTRY
For over 50 years Herkula has been supplying MarCablo solvent-based inks for the marking of cores and cables, for annealing up to 2400 mt / min. and for direct and indirect roller marking up to 1200 mt / min. The product line offers inks suitable for all types of insulation, depending on the process and speed. Standard colors in the cable industry are available for all series, special shades can be supplied upon request by the customer.
Since 2015, the company has successfully eliminated all solvents, binders and critical additives from an ecological point of view in numerous products and has also developed solvent based inks that are not hazardous to health and are environmentally friendly.
Herkula was the first company to introduce UV curing inks for fiber optic coatings in 1984. Along with significant improvements in chemical and mechanical strength, these coatings eliminate emissions of volatile organic components from solvent based products.
Herkula produces UV inks in the 12 classic shades, for production speeds of up to 3000 m / min.
The production also includes UV resins of different types: very hard but flexible for external coatings, soft or flexible UV resins for interior coatings, special oils and special UV resins. Over the years, additional optical fiber coating products have been integrated such as "tight buffer" materials and others (eg for ribbon, fiber tapes, CFU compact fiber units, micro-modules, etc.) thermally stable , flame-retardant and waterproof.
The Herkula brand is distributed throughout Italy by Mohwinckel S.r.l., a company specializing in the trade of plastic materials. Its technical and commercial staff can provide any kind of information, assistance and use guide to anyone interested in implementing Herkula inks in their production process.
